Gregory Markling, FCSI | iBIMsolutions
Greg Markling, FCSI is a senior building information management consultant with iBIMsolutions, LLC, a Building Information Management consulting firm dedicated to enhancing the value of the design and construction services by focusing on effective management of building information. Greg has over 40 years experience as a practicing architect, specification writer, and construction contract administrator. He is a 35-year member of CSI, and former Institute President. Greg is a Fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute, a Certified Construction Specifier and Certified Construction Contract Administrator, and is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Leigh-Anne Harrison | Chasse Building Team
Leigh-Anne started her career in construction as a receptionist. Literally starting from the bottom and learning the ins and outs of all aspects of construction, Leigh-Anne worked her way through an established company, eventually landing a leadership role. Today, she is leading Chasse Building Team’s Southern Arizona division in Tucson. Chasse Building Team is founded on the concept of team work and building to make a difference; a difference in collaborating and giving back to the communities we serve and Leigh-Anne strives to make construction more than just building. Her top priority is to provide extraordinary construction services, to continue our established partnerships, and create new ones by going above and beyond, exceeding expectations each and every time.

Fernando Galvez, P.E. | Monrad Engineering
Fernando Galvez, P.E., RCDD, CTM is President of Monrad Engineering, Inc.(MEI) since 2006. Fernando has 45 years of experience (38 years with MEI) in electrical and telecommunications engineering. A graduate of the University of Arizona with a BSEE, Fernando is a registered professional engineer in Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. He is also a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD). Fernando is past president of the Cornerstone Building Foundation (CBF), past president of the Arizona Consulting Engineering Companies of Arizona (ACEC), past president of Southern Arizona Architects and Engineers Marketing Association (SAAEMA), and past president of the Arizona Society of Professional Engineers (ASPE). He is presently on the board for CBF as Treasurer.

Jay Alexander | Smith & Anala Engineering Co. (SAECO)
Jay Alexander, P.E., is Principal of SAECO (Smith & Annala Engineering) and has been with the company since 2012. He has 16 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing services, earthen retaining wall design, and environmental engineering. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Jay is a registered professional engineer in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and Texas. He is the previous chair of the associates committee for the Arizona Transportation Builders, is active in the Metro Pima Alliance, serves as co-chair for the Design Quadrant for the Southern Arizona Construction Career Days, and is active in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona (ACEC).

Michael Becherer, AIA | Swaim Associates, Ltd.
Michael graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1993 with a Bachelors of Architecture. After owning and managing a small design/build firm in Central Kentucky from 1994-1997 Michael began practicing architecture in 1998 becoming registered in 2005. Michael has focused primarily on public work for most of his career, completing a wide range of projects from Higher Education, Public Safety, Public Works, and Worship. Michael spends some of his spare time giving back to the community by serving on several boards and commissions including the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the Cornerstone Building Foundation, and Old Pueblo Community Services. Michael is also the Mayor’s appointee to the Tucson/Pima County Historical Commission and is a member of the TPCHC’s Plans Review Sub-Committee.

Peter Dourlein, AIA | The University of Arizona
Peter is Campus Architect and Assistant Vice President at the University of Arizona’s Planning, Design & Construction Department who are responsible for over $500 million in annual Capital Development of the campus. Peter has been with the University over 26 years now and previously worked in the private sector in both the design and construction industries. He is an avid supporter of the industry in southern Arizona and beyond; is a proud member of the AIA and MPA boards, and works relentlessly with his team to create a campus that inspires.

Kimberly Dycus | McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
Kimberly Dycus is the Renewable Energy Coordinator for McCarthy Building Companies. She received a B.S. in Psychology and a M.A. in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona. She coordinates onboarding and training for McCarthy’s owner partners in a rapidly growing national business unit.

Evan Eglin | Eglin+Bresler Architects, P.C.
Evan Eglin brings over 30 years of comprehensive architectural experience to a diverse clientele. He approaches every design with creative enthusiasm and professionalism, balancing marketplace demands with modern technologies, codes and costs. Evan strongly believes in an architectural team approach with close interaction among architect, client, and contractor. Active in the community of architecture, Evan has served as Director of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the AIA and Chairman of Architecture Week for several years.

Randall D. Harris, P.E., CSI | Western Technologies Inc.
Randy Harris, PE, CSI, serves as a board representative for CSI and is the current CSI Tucson Chapter President. He is Tucson Area Manager at Western Technologies Inc. and provides consulting services related to geotechnical, environmental, and materials engineering; construction materials testing; Special Inspections; and nondestructive testing services. His professional experience began in 1988 when he graduated from the University of Arizona (Go Cats!) and he has been active in Cornerstone since 2010.

Carl Kaufman | Advanced Controls Corporation
Carl Kaufman is a Project Manager and Safety Director for Advanced Controls Corporation. He has worked in the construction industry in Tucson for the past 25years as a heavy equipment operator, finish carpenter, superintendent and now project manager. He is an active member in ABA having chaired the Volunteer Day Committee, Safety Committee, Skills USA Construction competition and will serve as ABA Chairman for the 2024 year. Carl was born and raised here in Tucson and is now raising his family with his wife Sara (and three kids here). He stays busy with kid’s sports, playing soccer and being involved with his community and church.

Ryan Knapp is a Project Director for CORE Construction. Ryan graduated from the University of Arizona in 2008 with a degree in Regional Development. He has been with CORE ever since, specializing in public sector work for clients in the K-12, municipal and higher education markets.

Tracy D. Miller | 1 By 1 Roof, Solar, & Paint
Tracy D. Miller is an Owner/Managing Partner for 1 By 1 Roof, Solar, & Paint. Tracy and the leadership at 1 By 1 are passionate about giving back to the community, giving away free roofs for those in need, and supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation are just a couple of ways 1 By 1 gives back to the community. She has been involved in the A/E/C industry since 2003. Tracy has been a Board Member of NAWIC since 2018. She enjoys volunteering in the Tucson community.

Amy Scott | The Mahoney Group
Amy Scott is a Commercial Insurance and Surety Sales Executive for The Mahoney Group specializing in construction. She has been a part of the agency since 2021 but her insurance career began in 2005. She is an Illinois native and attended Illinois State University. She is active in the ABA, CREW of Tucson, The Ronald McDonald House and Angel Charities of Southern Arizona.
